ESPN has launched RedZone at the US Open, a dedicated, fast-paced presentation designed to take fans exactly where the action is happening, with limited commercial interruption.
Streaming live on the ESPN App for ESPN Unlimited plan subscribers, the seven-hour daily show (starting daily at 11 a.m. ET through Friday, Sept. 4) bounces quickly across all 16 courts, showcasing point-to-point and live match action as they unfold. ESPN has long used whip-around coverage during US Open Week 1.
“Think of it as the ultimate way to experience the energy and urgency of early-round coverage,” said John Suchenski, Sr. Director, ESPN Programming and Acquisitions. “What’s new is the intentionality: this is a true point-to-point viewing experience, taking the whip-around approach beyond simple look-ins to deliver game-to-game and match-to-match action as it happens.”
All ESPN commentators including John McEnroe, Patrick McEnroe, Andy Roddick, Chris Eubanks, Mary Joe Fernandez and Caroline Wozniacki will rotate through the presentation over the six-day run, keeping the focus on the matches.
