ESPN will present LALIGA’s ElClásico on ABC on Sunday, October 25 at 4 p.m. ET., marking the first time the marquee rivalry between FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid will air on ABC in the U.S. A live, one-hour pre-match show will begin at 3 p.m. on ABC. The match will also be available live on ESPN+ (English and Spanish), ESPN Deportes (Spanish) and on the ESPN app for ESPN Unlimited plan subscribers.
The landmark ABC presentation comes as ESPN expands LALIGA’s presence across its linear networks during the 2026-27 season. At least 20 matches will be presented across ABC, ESPN and ESPN2, while all 380 LALIGA matches remain available live in English and Spanish on ESPN+.
One of the most recognized rivalries in global sports, ElClásico brings together two of soccer’s most storied clubs and many of the game’s biggest stars. The Oct. 25 matchup will mark the 265th official ElClásico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. This fall’s meeting will feature many of the leading players from this summer’s FIFA World Cup, including FC Barcelona stars Lamine Yamal and Pedri of Spain and Raphinha of Brazil, along with Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappé of France, Jude Bellingham of England and Vinícius Júnior of Brazil.
ESPN will surround the Oct. 25 match with extensive English- and Spanish-language studio, news and information coverage across its platforms, including on-site coverage from Spain. Coverage will include pre- and post-match programming, reporting and analysis from ESPN’s soccer commentators, analysts and Spain-based reporters. Additional production and programming details will be announced closer to the match.
