From breaking news and unfiltered conversations to memorable guests and storytelling, Big Day with Peter Schrager debuts Thursday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN. The new weekday show will air from 2-3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays during the college football season before expanding to Fridays after the season concludes.
Hosted by ESPN personality Peter Schrager, Big Day will originate from New York City and cover the biggest stories from across the sports world each day, blending reporting, interviews, unique perspectives and authentic conversations with the athletes, coaches, executives and personalities driving the day’s biggest headlines. While fans can expect Schrager’s trademark NFL insight and relationships, Big Day is built to celebrate the full sports landscape and the moments everyone will be talking about.
Launching during ESPN’s “Year of the Super Bowl,” Big Day gives Schrager a daily platform to entertain and connect fans with the people behind the biggest moments in sports. Whether discussing major headlines, the latest trends or the human side of competition, the show will bring Schrager’s signature curiosity, humor and energy to audiences every weekday.
During the college football season, Fridays at 2 p.m. will feature Bussin’ & Pate on Campus, before Big Day expands to a five-day schedule following the season’s conclusion.
Big Day joins ESPN’s weekday studio lineup, which includes multiple editions of SportsCenter, Get Up, First Take, The Pat McAfee Show, NBA Today, NFL Live and Pardon the Interruption.
Schrager joined ESPN in 2025, appearing across the company’s signature programs and platforms, including Get Up, First Take, NFL Live and The Pat McAfee Show. Big Day marks an expansion of his role with ESPN, giving fans a daily destination for Schrager’s unique blend of reporting, storytelling, insider access and conversation. In addition to hosting Big Day, Schrager will continue to appear across ESPN’s lineup of shows and remain the host of his podcast, The Schrager Hour, which is produced by ESPN and Omaha Productions.
