The ESPN Fantasy Football Hall of Fame class will continue to be announced throughout the 2026-27 season
ESPN today announced the debut of the ESPN Fantasy Football Hall of Fame during its annual ESPN Fantasy Football Marathon. The first inductees are Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss and former Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles’ 2013 Week 15 performance.
This new initiative honors the players, personalities and unforgettable moments since ESPN Fantasy Football launched in 1995, with the goal of celebrating the NFL greats who have helped fans create bonds, own debates and win championships.
“Fantasy football has produced so many iconic moments and legendary performances over the years, and we believe those accomplishments deserve to be celebrated in a lasting way,” said Andrew Feldman, senior deputy editor at ESPN. “As the No. 1 fantasy football game, we’re uniquely positioned to celebrate the icons who helped make fantasy football what it is today. The ESPN Fantasy Football Hall of Fame will honor those contributions while giving fans another way to connect with the game they love.”
One player and one moment will be inducted into the ESPN Fantasy Football Hall of Fame during Fantasy Football Countdown through Week 16 of the 2026-27 NFL season. Players must be retired and have played in the NFL from 1995-present to be considered for the HOF honor. Note: ESPN Fantasy Football began in 1995.
Moss is inducted after scoring 3,467 fantasy points (using ESPN standard scoring) during his 14-year playing career with the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers. Charles had an 8-catch, 195-yard receiving day to go along with 20 rushing yards and five total touchdowns (4 receiving, 1 rushing) for a 59.5 fantasy points day in a 56-31 victory over the Oakland Raiders in week 15. Week 15 was a championship week in some fashion for many fantasy football leagues during the 16-week schedule era.
