Throughout a busy month across the sports media landscape in August, ESPN Digital & Social was once again No. 1 in the U.S. Sports Category with 212.7 million unique users, up 6% YoY and reaching 78% of U.S. adults across digital, YouTube and social media platforms, according to recently released Comscore data. 

  • ESPN App also remained No. 1 in August, reaching 25.4 million unique users, more than the next 9 non-ESPN apps combined and over 5 times its closest competitor in the Mobile Sports App category. 
  • The ESPN Fantasy App was No. 1 among fantasy sports apps in August with 11.3 million unique users. 
  • The ESPN and ESPN Fantasy apps led the sports apps category with 2.9 billion monthly minutes, which accounts for 25% of the total sports category minutes. 
  • ESPN Social reached 627 million engagements in August, roughly 20.2 million per day. 
  • ESPN.com was No. 1 across the web in August with 57.4 million unique visitors. 
  • One of August’s most-engaged-with post across ESPN social was from SportsCenter’s X account, driving 1.3 million views, 82 thousand likes, 1.4 thousand saves and 12 thousand reposts.
