ESPN today announced its coverage plans for the 2026 MLB Postseason, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 29, with national audio coverage of all four Wild Card Series presented by AbbVie on ESPN Radio and editions of Baseball Tonight on ESPN2. ESPN Radio’s play-by-play voices and analysts will call each series as eight teams compete for a place in the League Division Series.
Red Sox–Yankees headlines Wild Card Series coverage
The Boston Red Sox visit the New York Yankees in an American League Wild Card Series beginning Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET. Michael Kay will call the series alongside Eduardo Pérez and Tim Kurkjian. It will mark Kay’s first call of a Yankees postseason game in 25 years.
Roxy Bernstein and Gregg Olson will call the Chicago White Sox at Houston Astros series, beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET. In the National League, Dave O’Brien and Jessica Mendoza will call the Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves, beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET, while Jon “Boog” Sciambi and Doug Glanville will call the Chicago Cubs at San Diego Padres, beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Baseball Tonight brings fans inside the postseason
Baseball Tonight will follow Wild Card Series action Tuesday and Wednesday with highlights, analysis and reporting on ESPN2. David Ross and Buster Olney will break down the pivotal performances, key decisions and emerging storylines as teams compete to advance.
Kevin Connors will host a one-hour edition following each day’s games, airing from 1–2 a.m. ET on ESPN2.
