NHL on ESPN closes out October with four exclusive matchups this week across ESPN networks and services. Tuesday’s ESPN doubleheader begins in primetime with the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes, followed by the Buffalo Sabres taking on the San Jose Sharks to open a two-game California trip. Thursday’s coverage features an Original Six matchup between the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings before the Sabres wrap up their West Coast trip against the Anaheim Ducks.
Tuesday’s pregame coverage begins with The Point at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and ESPN+ with Steve Levy hosting alongside analysts Mark Messier and P.K. Subban with NHL insider/reporter Emily Kaplan. The puck drops at 8 p.m. as the Bruins and Daivd Pastrnak take on the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Hurricanes with Bob Wischusen and Ray Ferraro on the call. Following at 10:30 p.m., Tage Thompson and the Sabres take on Macklin Celebrini and the Sharks. John Buccigross will make the call alongside Erik Johnson.
On Thursday, ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu feature an exclusive doubleheader with Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks taking on the Red Wings at 7:30 p.m. with Buccigross and Ferraro on the mic. At 10 p.m. the Sabres take on the Ducks with Roxy Bernstein and Cassie Campbell-Pascall calling the action.
