The FedExCup Playoffs shift to St. Louis, Missouri, this week for the BMW Championship — the middle leg of the PGA TOUR’s three-event postseason — with the top 50 in the FedExCup standings competing to punch their ticket to the season finale at East Lake Golf Club. Building on ESPN’s first-ever linear presentation of the Playoffs, the network returns with a two-hour early-round window Thursday, Aug. 20, and Friday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. ET at historic Bellerive Country Club.

In addition to the linear windows, PGA TOUR LIVE on the ESPN App puts fans in control across all four rounds, carrying four simultaneous feeds — including a main feed — as part of its more than 100 hours of coverage throughout the Playoffs. ESPN App coverage from Bellerive also begins Thursday at 10 a.m. ET.

McIlroy & Schauffele headline Friday at Bellerive on ESPN

Again this week, ESPN’s early round coverage on its primary linear channel will feature a trio of signature pairings that tee off during the 10 a.m.12 p.m. window.

  • Friday’s featured pairing on ESPN brings together World No. 2 and reigning Masters champion Rory McIlroy with two-time major champion and Olympic gold medalist Xander Schauffele. Multi-time TOUR winners Robert MacIntyre and Rickie Fowler, along with Jake Knapp and Alex Noren, round out the Friday coverage.
  • On Thursday, ESPN’s window opens with two-time major champion Collin Morikawa paired alongside multi-time TOUR winner Ludvig Åberg. The first round on ESPN will also feature major winners Gary Woodland and Adam Scott, plus Tom Kim and Ryan Fox, both looking to add a second win to their 2026 resumes.

Fans can also catch a sample of PGA TOUR LIVE @ESPN on X during a live simulcast on Thursday at 10:45 a.m. and Friday at approximately 10:40 a.m.

Scottie Scheffler looks for his second win in as many weeks on the ESPN App

  • Every shot from World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler’s first and second rounds — paired with major winner Matt Fitzpatrick — will be available for fans on the ESPN App as part of Marquee Group coverage on Thursday and Friday.

Michael Eaves anchors ESPN’s Playoffs coverage from Memphis to Atlanta

Signature ESPN anchor Michael Eaves returns as host this week, framing the action as the field races toward East Lake. Eaves opened the Playoffs at last week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship and will close out the action at the season-ending TOUR Championship (Aug. 27–28).

Across every ESPN FedExCup Playoffs window, the presentation is elevated by enhanced production elements, including extra cameras and drones, enhanced player audio, and 3D hole and course modeling from PGA TOUR Studios.
