Amanda Gifford joined ESPN in 2004 and is currently a Coordinating Producer. She oversees the ESPN Radio Network, the Talent Production Group and is involved in content strategy and planning for ESPN studio shows.
Gifford started her career as an intern at the ESPN Radio Network. She spent 12 years in the radio group, including five years as producer of The Herd with Colin Cowherd. She worked her way up to oversee night and weekend programming and eventually had complete oversight of the 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. talk programming lineup, which included Mike and Mike, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, SVP and Russillo and The Dan LeBatard Show with Stugotz.
In 2016, Gifford joined the ESPN Talent Office. There, she worked with a team to negotiate deals, succession plan and recruit ESPN Talent.
Gifford moved to her next opportunity in January 2019, overseeing the talent production group – the group of producers within the company who book external talent in various venues: on shows, for features, at events or in sales/marketing campaigns. She also is involved in content and strategy for studio shows. In December 2019, Gifford added the entire ESPN Radio Network to her oversight.
Originally from the Finger Lakes area of western New York, Gifford is a Penn State graduate with a bachelor of science in elementary education and a bachelor of arts in journalism.
