Andraya Carter

Host, Analyst and Reporter, SEC Network/ESPN
Andraya Carter joined ESPN in 2018 as a game analyst, working primarily on SEC Network. Over the past three years, Carter has established herself as one of the rising stars of ESPN’s comprehensive basketball coverage.
In addition to her studio and commentating roles on both women’s college basketball and the WNBA, she has added college football sideline reporting to her repertoire, as well as co-hosting Out of Pocket with SEC Network host and reporter Alyssa Lang.
Carter made her debut as a men’s basketball game analyst with G League action in 2020 and is currently one of only two college sports reporters at ESPN who are sideline reporters for college football and studio/game analysts for another sport, joining Katie George (college football/volleyball).
The Lady Vol for Life has received a signficant amount of acclaim in the 2022-23 season, as she was honored as the 2023 Dawn Staley Excellence in Broadcasting recipient, a 2022 University of Tennessee Alumni Promise Award winner, NSMA’s Best Young Reporter for 2022, and was named to The Athletic’s 40 Under 40: Rising Stars in Women’s Basketball, The Athletic’s 40 Under 40 in College Sports and The Athletic’s 20 for 20: Who’s Shaping the Future of Women’s Basketball.
The Flowery Branch, Ga. native is a double graduate of The University of Tennessee and was a three-year letterwinner for the Lady Vols.
