Ari Chambers, a multi-media journalist and Forbes Under 30 Honoree, joined Andscape as a commentator and sports culture talent for the Black content studio in April 2024. She also serves a contributor to a myriad of ESPN linear, digital, and social media platforms, and espnW, the ESPN global multiplatform brand dedicated to engaging and inspiring women through sports.

Chambers joined Andscape from “Bleacher Report” where she founded and launched highlightHER in 2019. Through highlightHER (now named “BRWSports”), Chambers told the stories of inspiring women athletes and built a community that rapidly grew to more than 250,000 Instagram followers. She consistently delivered a blend of news, highlights, user-generated content, and engaging interviews with renowned female athletes – centered on the world of women’s sports – for the Warner Bros. Discovery digital platform on sports and sports culture.

Over a career that includes stints as host with “Prime Video & Amazon Studios,” multimedia journalist at “FanSided,” event presenter (MSG Networks Inc.), editor (Nu-Modé Magazine), and more, Chambers has dedicated her efforts to grassroots coverage and utilized non-traditional media vehicles to close the coverage gap for women’s sports.

She coined the phrase “THE WNBA IS SO IMPORTANT” in 2017, which became the tagline for Twitter Sports’ WNBA 25th Anniversary campaign” in 2021. Chambers has served as a reporter for the WNBA and NCAA women’s basketball, covering multiple WNBA All-Star games, NCAA Women’s Final Fours, and several ACC Women’s Basketball Tournaments. She was Connecticut Sun’s in-arena host, WNBA’s digital news host and host of “Off Top,” WNBA League Pass series, and host for the WNBA’s Her Time to Play digital series.

Chambers’ work has garnered numerous industry honors: Forbes 30 Under 30 (Sports, 2021), For(bes) the Culture 50 Champions (2021), Sports Illustrated’s 100 Influential Women in Sports (2022), Dawn Staley Excellence in Broadcasting Award (2022), Black Enterprise 40 Under 40 (2023), The Athletic 40 Under 40: Rising Stars in Women’s Basketball (2021), and Yahoo’s Changemakers (2021), and more. She has won a Webby Award and several Hashtag Sports Awards.

Chambers received higher education from both the University of Oxford in England and North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C., studying New Communication Media and English. Chambers was named Outstanding Young Alumna by North Carolina State in 2024.

Beyond her reporting and commentary, Chambers is renowned for her advocacy for social justice, gender equality, and racial equity in sports. She has sparked important conversations that have impacted change in the industry.
