Ben Solak is an ESPN NFL writer who started with the company in August 2024. His work appears on ESPN+, on the ESPN Daily podcast and on other ESPN platforms. He also contributes to ESPN’s sports betting content, with regular writing and appearances in our video coverage. Ben focuses on NFL film and data analysis.

Solak has been an NFL journalist since 2018. Prior to joining ESPN, he was a staff writer at The Ringer (2021-2024), where he covered the league at large. Before that, he was an analyst at both Bleeding Green Nation (2018-2021), where he covered the Philadelphia Eagles, and The Draft Network (2018-2021), where he focused on the NFL draft.

Solak is a native of Stroudsburg, Pa., and graduated from the University of Chicago in 2019. He lives in Michigan with his wife, daughter and dog.
