Olympic Medalist (2008), World Champion (2009) and nine-time NCAA Champion Bridget Sloan joined ESPN and SEC Network in 2017, first as a studio analyst and then as a commentator for ESPN and SEC Network’s expansive gymnastics coverage. Sloan’s assignments span several conferences and platforms, including the NCAA Championship.
From 2012 to 2016, Sloan was a member of the three-time NCAA Championship Florida gymnastics team. She is also the 2013 national champion in the all-around and on the balance beam, and the 2014 NCAA champion on the uneven bars. In 2015, she became the first Florida gymnast, and the seventh collegiate gymnast, to score a perfect 10 on each of the four events. At the 2016 NCAA Nationals, her final championship, she won the all-around, uneven bars, and balance beam titles.
The Florida graduate is the only woman to ever win U.S., World and NCAA Championships in the all-around competition. She was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame as a member of the 2007 World Championships team alongside ESPN teammates Alicia Sacramone Quinn and Samantha Peszek.
