Brooke Pryor is ESPN’s NFL Nation team reporter focused on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pryor joined ESPN in September 2019 after covering the Kansas City Chiefs for The Kansas City Star in 2018.

At ESPN, Pryor provides news of the Steelers for ESPN.com, while also appearing on SportsCenter, Get Up, ESPN’s NFL shows and ESPN Radio programs.

In Kansas City, Pryor covered Patrick Mahomes’ meteoric rise to become the league’s reigning MVP, the Chiefs’ overtime demise in the AFC Championship game, the defense’s massive overhaul and Tyreek Hill’s turbulent offseason.

Pryor spent two years covering the University of Oklahoma and Baker Mayfield’s final seasons in Norman at The Oklahoman before moving to the NFL. She led coverage of Mayfield’s Heisman-winning and runner-up seasons and wrote on the epic, high-scoring 2016 meeting between Mayfield and Mahomes in Lubbock, Texas.

Pryor has earned top-10 finishes in the APSE (Associated Press Sports Editors) writing contest, along with top-3 finishes in the Missouri Associated Press Media Editors and Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalists writing contests.

A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Pryor graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism and mass communication. She spent her first two years after graduation covering college sports in Durham, N.C., for The Durham Herald-Sun. She is involved in organizations such as the Association for Women in Sports Media.
