D’Arcy Maine is a senior writer for ESPN, covering tennis, NCAA gymnastics, and Olympic sports. Since joining the company in 2008, she has been recognized for her storytelling, feature reporting, and global event coverage across platforms.

Prior to her current role, Maine contributed to espnW beginning in 2013 and previously worked as an editor and blogger for ESPN Mobile. Over the years, her reporting has taken her to some of the most iconic moments in sports, from Wimbledon and the Tokyo Olympic Games to features on the transformative impact of sports within the criminal justice system.

In 2018, she was part of the ESPN team honored with a Peabody Award for its investigative work on “Spartan Silence,” covering the sexual abuse scandal at Michigan State University.

A Hartford, Connecticut native, Maine holds a B.A. in history and sociology from Fordham University and an M.S. in journalism from Quinnipiac University. She lives in Hartford with her family.
