Darius Walker joined ESPN as a college football analyst in August 2025. A former NFL running back and standout at Notre Dame, Walker ranks fourth all-time in career rushing yards for the Fighting Irish and broke Herschel Walker’s high school rushing record in Georgia.

At Notre Dame, Walker set the freshman rushing record, becoming the first player in school history to open a season with four straight 100+-yard rushing games and registered 3,249 rushing yards (fourth in program history), 109 receptions (most ever by a running back) and 1,658 all-purpose yards in 2006 (seventh all-time). His final outing in the Sugar Bowl featured 128 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The Fighting Irish alum previously worked with FOX Sports, TNT, Mountain West Network and on NBC’s Notre Dame altcast. A Georgia Hall of Fame inductee, Walker resides in Los Angeles with his family. After his playing career, he transitioned into roles in finance and sports management, including positions at Morgan Stanley and Excel Sports.
