Doug Sherman has been announcing college baseball, men’s and women’s college basketball and college football games for ESPN since 2003.

He was the sports director at WRGB-CBS 6 for more than 20 years. Prior to that, Sherman worked as a sports reporter for WSTM-NBC-3 in Syracuse N.Y., and was also the play-by-play announcer for the Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

After graduating from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 1988 with a bachelor of science degree in broadcast journalism, the New York native stayed in his home state and nearby his alma mater to become the sports director at WPTR radio from October 1988 – March 1993.
