Inna Kern

Vice President, Media Strategy & Planning
Inna Kern is vice president of media strategy and planning at ESPN. She leads an in-house media planning and activation team that develops data-driven marketing campaigns to reach passionate sports fans across all platforms.
As a marketing veteran with more than 20 years in the industry, Kern has served in a number of leadership roles across various media companies. Prior to joining ESPN in 2017, she served as senior director of integrated marketing at Johnson & Johnson, where she was responsible for developing global marketing campaigns to drive J&J into the world of compelling, integrated, multi-format communications. Kern also led global marketing at BabyCenter, where she developed successful marketing programs across its 14 global markets. Her responsibilities included the creation and execution of strategic media and marketing solutions that leveraged BabyCenter’s leading content, social, email, video and mobile platforms. Prior to BabyCenter, she led creative services, research, and marketing communications at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Previously, Kern was vice president of marketing at iVillage Networks leading cross-platform marketing solutions and rebranding efforts for the site.
She began her career at Time Warner where she served for nearly a decade in a variety of marketing roles from publishing at Time Inc. to overseeing Solution Development for AOL.
Kern holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Brooklyn College and lives in Long Island with her husband and three daughters.
