James Westling joined the ESPN team in 2022, and primarily calls NCAA football and men’s basketball. In addition, he has served as a play-by-play announcer for volleyball, lacrosse, and track and field.

Westling is co-host of “Big 12 Today”, on Big 12 Radio – heard Monday through Friday, 8-11am ET, on TuneIn. He also has a part-time hosting role at KTCK, The Ticket in Dallas, TX.

Prior to ESPN, Westling held the position of Operations Manager for KSAL-AM in Salina, KS and provided fill-in radio play-by-play for Learfield and the Kansas State Sports Network.

Westling graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in mass communications.
