John Keim

NFL Nation Reporter: Washington Commanders
John Keim joined ESPN in August 2013 as a reporter for the Washington Commanders. His primary role is contributing to ESPN.com’s NFL Nation coverage through blogs and videos. He’s also appeared numerous times on SportsCenter as well as other shows across ESPN, including Outside the Lines. He has been a guest on ESPN radio shows across the country. In 2011, Keim was voted as the NSSA’s Washington, D.C. Sportswriter of the year.
Keim is also a weekly guest on ESPN630 in Washington, D.C., and his podcast, the John Keim Report, also airs on ESPN 106.1 in Richmond. He has covered the Washington Commanders since 1994 for several outlets, including the Journal Newspapers, the Washington Examiner and the Washington Post. He was a Washington correspondent for Pro Football Weekly, the Sporting News, CBS Sports and Warpath magazine.
Keim began his sportswriting career with the Journal in 1989 and also has covered the Washington Wizards. He has co-authored two books and written two others, including Stadium Stories: Washington Redskins and Legends by the Lake: The Cleveland Browns at Municipal Stadium, chronicling the great games and players who called this place home.
Keim graduated from The Ohio State University and is a native of Lakewood, Ohio. He currently lives in Berryville, Va., with his wife and three sons.
