Judy Agay was named Executive Vice President, Human Resources for ESPN and Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology in March 2025. With an illustrious career spanning 18 years at The Walt Disney Company — including two years with ESPN — Agay has exhibited exceptional expertise and dedication within the realm of Human Resources.
Her responsibilities in her position encompass overseeing all HR business support, fostering an inclusive environment where every employee belongs, nurturing employee development and engagement, managing recruitment and compensation, as well as optimizing security for ESPN and the Product & Technology organization.
Agay’s personal passion centers around empowering individuals to find their voices and contribute towards the advancement of company culture. She co-founded the Asian-American Pacific Islander BERG, known as IMPACT, in 2017, which continues to flourish within the company.
Agay enjoys mentoring and coaching employees and leaders to reach their career aspirations and to deliver their best. In recognition of her leadership and impact, Agay was honored in 2024 with the Multichannel News Broad + Cable Wonder Woman award.
In her previous role as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for the Corporate Business Unit of The Walt Disney Company, she led a team supporting the Company’s Named Executive Officers and was the primary HR partner to TWDC CFO, Christine McCarthy; General Counsel, Horacio Gutiérrez; Chief Communications Officer, Kristina Schake; and Chief Human Resources Officer, Sonia Coleman, who assumed the role on April 8, 2023, and to whom Agay reports directly.
Agay’s career began in the advertising industry in New York City, where she made notable contributions to significant consumer-products accounts like Johnson & Johnson and Unilever. Transitioning into Human Resources, she garnered experience in various capacities at prominent organizations, including Gap Inc. and Coach Inc.
Agay is a graduate of Fordham University, Rose Hill, New York.
