Kane Pitman has been a reporter for ESPN since 2018. Initially covering the Australians in the NBA from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was on the ground in the US from 2018-2020 as a feature writer, covering the Milwaukee Bucks run to the 2019 Eastern Conference Finals and historic first MVP for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Returning to Australia at the beginning of the pandemic, Pitman added the Australian National Basketball League to his coverage, reporting on the league nationally and also taking over hosting duties for ESPN’s Ball and the Real World Podcast.

For the 2021-22 NBL/NBA seasons, Pitman featured on ESPN’s The Jump weekly and the NBL produced Crossover television programs, with both aired live across Australia and New Zealand.

During the 2022-23 campaigns, Pitman was a sideline reporter for the Australian Boomers World Cup qualification and the Australian Opals FIBA Women’s World Cup historic bronze medal run.

He also hosts the new weekly television program ‘Kane and Copes’, airing in Australia and New Zealand, alongside legendary Melbourne Tigers high flyer, Lanard Copeland, while also being a weekly analyst on SportsCenter Australia.

Pitman covered the 2023 NBA Playoffs and 2023 NBA Finals coverage across Australia and New Zealand.
