Katia Castorena serves as sideline reporter for ESPN Deportes’ NFL Monday Night Football. As a Los Angeles-based bilingual reporter for ESPN Deportes and ESPN in Latin America, she also covers a wide variety of sports across the company’s portfolio (ESPN Deportes, ESPN in Latin America and ESPN’s digital platforms) including NBA, Formula 1, soccer, MLB, and boxing.

Castorena joined the ESPN International team in 2015 as a reporter in Mexico City, covering a variety of events and making appearances across the network’s highest rated in-studio shows.

Since, she has become one of the most versatile reporters for key sporting events such as the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Marquee NFL Games, Super Bowl LVI & LVII, Formula 1, the 2022 and 2023 NBA Finals and CONCACAF soccer tournaments.

Originally from Southern California and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, Castorena began her career in television as a student at the University of Southern California. Prior to joining ESPN, Katia started as a reporter for a local station in Tijuana.
