ESPN Radio Play-by-Play Commentator and Host

Marc Kestecher is the lead play-by-play voice for the NBA on ESPN Radio, as well as College Football on ESPN Radio.  

Kestecher, who joined ESPN in 1999 as an ESPN Radio SportsCenter update anchor, also provides commentary for ESPN Radio’s NFL and college basketball broadcasts, and he is a fixture at major events such as NBA All Star Weekend, NBA Finals, NBA Draft, World Series, MLB All Star Game and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. 

In addition to Kestecher’s play-by-play duties, he hosts studio coverage of Major League Baseball, The College Football Playoff semifinals and National Championship game. He can be seen occasionally performing play-by-play duties on ESPN networks, including NBA, G League, Summer League and FIBA games. Kestecher has also served as a reporter for ESPN Radio’s coverage of major events such as the Super Bowl and the US Open Golf Championship. 

Prior to joining ESPN, Kestecher was an anchor, reporter and talk host at WKNR-AM in Cleveland, Ohio (1996-99). Previously, he served as Sports Director at WPTR/WROW in Albany, N.Y. (1992-96) while also serving as play-by-play announcer for the Albany Patroons (CBA), Albany Firebirds (Arena Football), University at Albany (football and basketball) and St. Rose basketball.  

A Guilderland, N.Y. native, Kestecher attended Syracuse University.
