Michael DiRocco

NFL Nation Reporter: Jacksonville Jaguars

Michael DiRocco joined ESPN in November 2011 as a college football writer covering the University of Florida. He moved over to the NFL side of things in August 2013 to cover the Jacksonville Jaguars for ESPN’s NFL Nation. His role includes television and radio appearances as well as writing for ESPN.com.

DiRocco previously worked at The Florida Times-Union newspaper in Jacksonville, Florida, for 18½ years. The last 12 years were spent covering the University of Florida, where he documented a pair of national titles in football, a pair of national titles in basketball, and Tim Tebow’s four-year whirlwind career. DiRocco’s tenure there covered the Steve Spurrier, Ron Zook, Urban Meyer and (most of) Will Muschamp years. DiRocco began his career at the Times-Union as a part-time preps reporter and worked his way up to the second-most high-profile sports beat at the newspaper.

DiRocco, who is married with two children, graduated from Jacksonville University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
