P.K. Subban

NHL Analyst
P.K. Subban is an NHL analyst for ESPN and a former NHL defenseman who played 13 seasons in the league. He joined ESPN’s NHL broadcast team in 2022 and has served as an analyst for the Stanley Cup Playoffs and select NHL games. Subban is also a regular contributor to The Point, ESPN’s NHL studio show.
A Toronto native, Subban began skating at the age of two and quickly rose through the hockey ranks, competing against older players and excelling at the minor hockey level. He represented Team Canada on the international stage, winning gold medals at the IIHF World Junior Championship and competing in the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. Subban’s NHL career began with the Montreal Canadiens, followed by stints with the Nashville Predators and New Jersey Devils before retiring in 2022. He was awarded the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s top defenseman in 2013 and received the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 2022 for leadership and humanitarian contributions.
Off the ice, Subban is deeply involved in philanthropy. In 2014, he established the P.K. Subban Foundation, which provides support to children and families facing hardship. He also launched Blue-Line Buddies, a program connecting underprivileged youth, low-income families and law enforcement. Beyond hockey, Subban is an entrepreneur, producer and fashion enthusiast.
