Senior Director, Distribution & Business Strategy, ESPN Audio

Patrick Polking serves as Senior Director, Distribution & Business Strategy for ESPN Audio.  He and his team manage the various distribution partnerships from local radio stations to satellite and digital audio distributors.

Polking also develops and executes the strategic direction for ESPN Audio, including the 2012 agreement to acquire rights to 98.7FM in New York.

Since joining the company in 2003, Polking has also held roles in finance and business development at ESPN.

Prior to joining ESPN, Polking helped grow two start-up companies in the retail software and event ticketing industries. He also worked in investment banking at William Blair & Co. and in valuation consulting at Price Waterhouse.

A native of Charlotte, NC, Polking graduated with a BBA from the University of Notre Dame, where he played goalkeeper for the Irish varsity soccer team.  While earning his MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, he served as the graduate assistant coach for the National Champion, Tarheels men’s soccer team.
