Ricardo Mayorga

Co-Host, Destino Euro 2016 and Jorge Ramo & Su Banda
With more than 36 years of experience as a sportscaster, Ricardo Mayorga is one of the most respected professionals in the industry, having worked in everything from radio, to television, to print. Currently, as a talent on ESPN Deportes Radio Network, Ricardo co-hosts Destino Euro 2016, and the acclaimed show Jorge Ramos & Su Banda. He also serves as a commentator for soccer broadcasts of the Mexican Soccer League, CONCACAF Champions League, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, and several other soccer events, and hosts the show called La Previa MX on Deportes TV.
Throughout his career, Mayorga has covered nearly every major soccer tournament around the globe, including the past nine World Cups. In 2000, he joined Univision sports, and until 2006 he served as commentator of more than 130 live matches of the Mexican Soccer League, 10 live games of the Gold Cup, and 26 live matches of the Copa America.
From 1992 to 1996, Mayorga served as a host and director for the Gol Network (later known as CCN Sports Network). His work at the network consisted of directing, producing and presenting more than 350 live soccer matches of the Copa Libertadores tournament and the South American and Central American World Cup qualifying games.
From 1992 to 2000 he worked with Telemundo as a commentator for live soccer broadcasts and hosted some of the daily sports briefs. During the 1998 World Cup, he delivered daily reports from France in which he provided his analysis of the tournament as well as interviews with some of the event’s main figures.
Mayorga is a graduate in Communications from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia and possesses a journalism certificate from the University of Miami. Mayorga currently resides in Miami, Florida.
