Roxy Bernstein joined ESPN as a play-by-play commentator for men’s college basketball in 2011, and since has added college football, women’s college basketball, college baseball and NHL to his growing list of responsibilities. He can also be heard on ESPN Radio calling bowl games and MLB.
Bernstein also works for the Pac-12 Network, doing play-by-play for basketball, football and baseball telecasts. From 1997 through 2014, he was the voice of the Cal Golden Bears basketball team, which is also his alma mater. Bernstein also does national college football play-by-play on the Touchdown Radio Network alongside 1992 Heisman Trophy winner Gino Torretta.
Bernstein regularly broadcasts for the Oakland Athletics, is a talk show host for KGMZ 95.7 FM The Game in San Francisco and also has years of play-by-play experience for the Miami Marlins, San Francisco Giants and San Jose Sharks.
The San Francisco Bay Area native graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 1996 with a degree in American Studies, just one year before taking over as the broadcast voice on the IMG Sports/Cal Basketball Radio Network.
