Steve Palese

Coordinating Producer, Soccer

Steve Palese is a coordinating producer who oversees all aspects of production for ESPN’s signature soccer studio show ESPN FC — a popular daily news, highlights and opinion program that integrates elements of the company’s soccer digital platform ESPNFC.com.

He joined ESPN in October 1994 and has since been involved with the production of ESPN’s domestic and international soccer studio shows.

Under Palese’s leadership, ESPN FC has become one of the best and most trusted soccer studio programs in the English speaking world. It features an unmatched collection of analysts lead by former national team players — Craig Burley, Steve Nicols (Scotland), Alejandro Moreno (Venezuala), Shaka Hislop (Trinidad and Tobago) — and a roster of guests analysts that include FIFA World Cup champions Germany’s Jurgen Klinsmann (1990), French international Frank LeBoeuf (France 1998) and Italy’s Alessandro Del Piero (2006).

Palese worked on ESPN Press Pass from 2005-2013, first as a producer, then as a Coordinating Producer.  The show aired in the United States and on ESPN’s international networks in the UK, Caribbean, Atlantic, African and Middle East regions. He has also produced Spanish Football Extra, Football Weekend, Latin Futbol Weekly, World Football Report and UEFA Champions League studio shows.

A native of Danbury, Conn., Palese graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1994 with a bachelor of arts in Journalism.
