Kulick Rolls to an ESPN Instant Classic: First Woman to Win National PBA Tour Event

On Sunday, Jan. 24, Kelly Kulick bowled her way to victory, becoming the first woman to win a national PBA Tour event, defeating 2007-08 PBA Player of the Year Chris Barnes 265-195 in the championship match to win the 45th PBA Tournament of Champions and a $40,000 first-place prize, plus a two-year exemption on the PBA Tour. Kulick’s win from Red Rock Lanes in Las Vegas became an ESPN “Instant Classic” and will re-air tonight, Monday, Jan. 25, on ESPN Classic at 9 p.m. The tournament originally aired live Sunday, Jan. 24, on ESPN with Rob Stone calling play-by-play, joined by analyst Randy Pedersen.
