ESPN’s Baseball Tonight averaged 713,000 viewers for the episodes (four total) airing immediately following SportsCenter (11 p.m. ET) on game nights during the Major League Baseball Division Series, an increase of 61 percent compared to the equivalent number of telecasts last postseason (443,000 viewers). The corresponding 0.6 rating was up 50 percent over last year’s 0.4 rating.
Additionally, ESPN’s SportsCenter shows airing at 11 p.m. (seven this year) averaged 1,149,000 viewers, an improvement of 14 percent over last year’s 1,008,000 viewers for five telecasts. The corresponding 0.9 rating was up 13 percent over last postseason’s 0.8 rating.
