ESPN to Present 2012 NBA Draft Lottery at ABC’s Times Square Studios May 30

ESPN will present the 2012 NBA Draft Lottery – to be held for the first time at ABC’s Times Square Studios in New York City – on Wednesday, May 30, during the Kia NBA Countdown pregame show at 7 p.m. ET with the Lottery drawing scheduled for 8 p.m. Countdown and the Draft Lottery will precede ESPN’s exclusive coverage of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game Two at 8:30 p.m. The Lottery will also be available on ESPN Radio, ESPN3, ESPN Mobile TV and via the WatchESPN app.

Mark Jones and college basketball analyst Jay Bilas will host ESPN’s Draft Lottery coverage with Heather Cox reporting. In addition, analysts Magic Johnson, Jon Barry, Michael Wilbon and Chris Broussard will provide reaction and offer insights on Countdown.

The Draft Lottery will determine the order of selection for the first 14 picks of the 2012 NBA Draft, which ESPN will televise on Thursday, June 28, at 7 p.m.

This year will mark the first time the Draft Lottery has been held in New York City since 1993. The Lottery had been held at the NBA Entertainment Studios in Secaucus, N.J. from 1994-2011.

2012 NBA Draft Combine: ESPNU will televise the Draft Combine in Chicago June 7-8.
