SEC Network and SEC Network + Now Available on WatchESPN

In conjunction with today’s launch of SEC Network, fans of the Southeastern Conference who receive the network as part of their video subscription will receive live access to SEC Network and exclusive access to hundreds of additional live events through SEC Network + on WatchESPN across computers, smartphones and tablets. Fans in tens of millions of homes across the US can now log into WatchESPN.com and download an update to the WatchESPN app for iOS and Android devices with their provider log-in credentials to access the networks on digital platforms in the home and on the go.

WatchESPN will carry a live simulcast of SEC Network as well as on-demand coverage of more than 550 digital-exclusive sporting events in its first year. The August schedule of SEC Network + live and exclusive events can be found here.

Current affiliated providers for authenticated access to SEC Network and SEC Network + on WatchESPN include AT&T U-verse, Charter, Comcast, Cox, DISH, Google Fiber, Suddenlink*, NCTC, NRTC and NTTC. NCTC and NTTC will have access when member companies launch the WatchESPN app later in the month.

With the addition of SEC Network and SEC Network +, WatchESPN is now the live streaming home for 10 ESPN networks, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Goal Line/Buzzer Beater/Bases Loaded, ESPN Deportes, ESPNEWS, Longhorn Network and ESPN3.

SEC Network
The Southeastern Conference and ESPN have signed a 20-year agreement through 2034 to create and operate a multiplatform network, which will launch August 14, 2014. The new network and its accompanying digital platform will carry SEC content 24/7 including more than 1,000 events in its first year. The network will televise 45 SEC football games, more than 100 men’s basketball games, 60 women’s basketball games, 75 baseball games, and events from across the SEC’s 21 sports annually. Programming will also include in-depth commentary and analysis in studio shows, daily news and information, original content such as SEC Storied, spring football games, and more. AT&T U-verse® TV, Bright House Networks, Charter, Comcast Xfinity TV, Cox Communications, DIRECTV, DISH, Google Fiber, LUS Fiber, PTC Communications, Suddenlink, Time Warner Cable, NCTC, NRTC, NTTC and Wilkes Telephone will carry the television network nationwide at launch. Hundreds of additional live events from various sports will be offered exclusively as SEC Network+ events on WatchESPN and SECNetwork.com through AT&T U-verse, Charter, Comcast, Cox, DISH, Google Fiber, Suddenlink, NCTC, NRTC and NTTC authentication.

* This fall, Suddenlink plans to introduce the full suite of authenticated WATCH services from Disney and ESPN, including WatchESPN.
