ESPN’s College GameDay Visits Baton Rouge in advance of No. 3 Ole Miss at No. 24 LSU

ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest running and most celebrated pregame show – will make a stop in Baton Rouge, La. for a SEC West showdown between AP-ranked No. 3 Ole Miss (7-0) and No. 24 LSU (6-2) on Saturday, Oct. 25 (7:15 p.m. ET, ESPN). The weekly three-hour Emmy Award-winning show (Saturday 9 a.m. – noon) will originate from the Parade Grounds on the LSU campus.

Hosted by Chris Fowler, the GameDay team consists of analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack with reporting by Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi, Scott Van Pelt, George Whitfield and Gene Wojciechowski.  Fowler, Herbstreit and Heather Cox will have the call of the game between Ole Miss and LSU.

 College GameDay Nuggets:

  • This is the 10th time College GameDay will originate from Baton Rouge, La.. LSU is just 5-4 in the previous nine games and has lost the last three (two to Alabama, one to Florida, each of which were ranked No. 1 at the time).
  • LSU is 3-4 in seven SEC home games with College GameDay in attendance, with five of the seven games decided by seven points or less. All three LSU wins were by seven points or less.
  • Including bowls and SEC Championship games, this is the 23rd time College GameDay will originate from an LSU game. LSU is 14-8.
