X Games Austin 2015:  20 Live Hours on ESPN and ABC

Additional 6.5 Hours of Live Competition Exclusively on ESPN3;

Metallica to Stream Live on ESPN3 and XGames.com

X Games Austin 2015 will receive extensive coverage with content distributed across multiple television and digital platforms June 4-7, as the biggest names in action sports vie for X Games Gold Medals and prize money. ESPN and ABC will televise a combined 20 hours of live competition with an additional 6.5 hours of live action exclusively on ESPN3 and supported across ESPN digital platforms, including XGames.com, the X Games Austin app, and through official X Games social platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat. Following X Games Austin, ABC will deliver four hours of anthology programming on Sunday, June 14.

By enhancing and adding dimension to the X Games viewing experience, fans will have the opportunity to watch all the action, get an inside look at the event and establish a two-way conversation with ESPN X Games, athletes and other viewers. Content will also be accessible via WatchESPN and WatchABC to viewers who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

In addition to all of the content on ESPN’s U.S.-based media platforms, X Games Austin will be televised and syndicated in more than 215 countries and territories to more than 439 million homes worldwide, including international telecasts in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico, New Zealand, Central America and South America. X Games Austin will also be syndicated in Africa, Asia, Europe, Mexico, Israel and Middle East.

Television

The X Games Austin 2015 telecast officially kicks off on ESPN, Thursday, June 4, with the debut of Harley-Davidson Flat-Track Racing at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) at 8:30 p.m. ET and the Moto X Step Up Final in front of the Texas Capitol in downtown Austin at 9 p.m. The four-day event will conclude on Sunday, June 7, with Off-Road Truck Racing, Monster Energy Men’s Skateboard Street, Moto X Best Whip and the newly-added competition of Toyota Moto X QuarterPipe, beginning at 2 p.m. on ABC.

This year’s telecast team will include returning talent: Tony Hawk, Brandon Graham, Tes Sewell, Kevin Robinson, Alyssa Roenigk, Jimmy Coleman, Toby Moody, Cameron Steele and Nicole Briscoe. Also, new to the roster this year are Scottie Deubler, Tommy Kendall and Cristy Lee.

Live Music Webcast  X Games Austin will stream the live performance of Metallica  – one of the most influential and commercially successful rock bands in history, on ESPN3 and XGames.com, taking place on Saturday, June 6, on the Super Stage at Circuit of The Americas. Metallica’s show will mark their 10th performance in Austin, Texas, and their first in the city in six years.

X Games Extra presented by Skype is a nightly digital show hosted on XGames.com immediately following the ESPN primetime broadcast.
