Additional Eight Hours of Competition Carried on ESPN3 and Digital Platforms

X Games Aspen 2016 will feature 16 hours of extensive coverage and live content distributed on ESPN, ABC and across multiple digital platforms from January 28 – 31. An additional eight hours of competition will be carried exclusively on ESPN3 as well as the latest coverage across ESPN digital platforms, including XGames.com, the X Games app, and X Games pages across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and more. Fans will have the opportunity to watch all the action, get an inside look at the event and establish a two-way conversation with ESPN X Games, athletes and other viewers. Content will also be streamed live on WatchESPN (now accessible on the ESPN app) and WATCH ABC to viewers who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

Following X Games Aspen 2016, ABC will deliver four hours of anthology programming on Sunday, Feb. 6 and a one-hour special on World of X Games: Best of X Games Aspen 2016 on Feb. 13.

In addition to all of the content on ESPN’s U.S.-based media platforms, X Games Aspen 2016 will be televised globally in 215 countries and territories to more than 365 million homes, including live coverage in Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Denmark, Europe, Finland, Germany, Japan, Spain, Sweden, Latin America, Middle East, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, France, Spain and Africa.

The X Games Aspen 2016 telecast officially kicks off on ESPN with a world-class field in the Snowmobile SnoCross and SnoCross Adaptive Final on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m. ET, and concludes on Sunday, Jan. 31, beginning with the Men’s Ski Slopestyle Final at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN. Witness X Games stars, including Danny Davis, Chloe Kim, Silje Norendal, Lindsey Jacobellis, Ståle Sandbech and Gus Kenworthy as they vie for X Games gold and prize money.

This year’s telecast team will include veterans: Nicole Briscoe, Zach Crist, Chris “Uncle E” Ernst, Brandon Graham, Todd Harris, Jamie Little, Craig McMorris, Jack Mitrani, Alyssa Roenigk, Tes Sewell, Cameron Steele and Luke Van Valin. Making their talent team debut this year are Victoria Arlen, Vanessa Marshall and Graham Watanabe.

Also new to this year’s telecast is X Games Extra presented by Skype, the official late night show of X Games Aspen. Previously streamed live on XGames.com, X Games Extra will air nightly on ESPN2 starting Thursday, Jan. 28, and will also be available on WatchESPN and XGames.com. X Games Extra is an opportunity for our fans to engage with gold medal winners, X Games talent and industry influencers.
