College Football’s First Top 10 Matchup of the Season Highlights ESPN/ABC’s Week 3 Schedule

- ACC Showdown: No. 2 Florida State at No. 10 Louisville on ABC; ESPN College GameDay Built by The Home Depot and SportsCenter in Town
- Pac-12 on ABC’s Saturday Night Football: USC at No. 7 Stanford
- Thursday Night Football: No. 6 Houston on the Road at Cincinnati
ABC televises college football season’s first top 10 matchup of the season when No. 2 Florida State travels to No. 10 Louisville (Noon ET) with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Samantha Ponder calling the game from Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Herbstreit and Ponder will work the game immediately following their regular duties on College GameDay Built by The Home Depot (9 a.m. on ESPN). Additionally, SportsCenter will have a presence from the ACC showdown as anchor Sara Walsh and reporter Michael Eaves will be in Louisville on Saturday, Sept. 17 (7 a.m. on ESPN).
ABC’s Saturday Night Football will feature a Pac-12 battle between USC and No. 7 Stanford (8 p.m.) from Stanford Stadium. Joe Tessitore, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe will be on the call of the Trojans-Cardinal’s 94th all-time meeting.
Overall, ESPN/ABC will televise 16 ranked teams in action this week. Additional game highlights:
- Houston on the Road: 6 Houston will travel outside of its city for the first time this season as they head to Cincinnati on Thursday, Sept. 15 (7:30 p.m. on ESPN).
- SEC in Prime Time: No. 17 Texas A&M at Auburn (ESPN at 7 p.m.), Mississippi State at No. 20 LSU (ESPN2 at 7 p.m.), and No. 16 Georgia at Missouri (SEC Network at 7:30 p.m.) begins conference play for the Aggies, Bulldogs and the trio of Tigers: Auburn, LSU and Missouri. No. 24 Arkansas will host Texas State (SEC Network Alternate at 7:30 p.m.)
- Pac-12 vs. Big Ten: 24 Oregon heads to undefeated Nebraska (3:30 p.m. on ABC) with the two schools matching up for the first time since 1986 and just the seventh time ever.
- Big 12 vs. Pac-12: 11 Texas will face their first road test of the season when they travel to California (10:30 p.m. on ESPN).
