ESPN has renewed its agreement with MMA analyst Brett Okamoto.
Okamoto, who joined ESPN in 2010, will continue as a breaking news reporter, feature writer and analyst, host of 5ive Rounds, ESPN’s weekly MMA-centric podcast, and a one-on-one interviewer, for MMA content across linear and digital platforms.
“Brett is one of the most respected journalists in the industry,” said Chad Millman, vice president and editorial director of U.S. digital content at ESPN. “From fight nights to breaking news to features, he provides the kind of access and insight across all of our platforms that MMA fans look for. We look forward to his continued contributions.”
“I am honored and excited to re-sign with ESPN, the industry leader in sports coverage,” said Okamoto. “MMA is at a fascinating stage of its evolution and I believe in ESPN’s ever-growing commitment to cover it in the way it deserves. I look forward to bringing MMA fans even closer to the sport they love.”
