ESPNU Signing Day Special To Feature Twelve Announcements From Nation’s Top Recruits, Including No. 4 Marvin Wilson

Twelve of the nation’s top high school football players will announce their college commitments live during the ESPNU Signing Day Special on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The special, which provides fans with 11 consecutive hours of national signing day coverage, will include live announcements from several players on the ESPN 300, including No. 4 Marvin Wilson, who is the only uncommitted athlete in the top 10. The top-ranked defensive tackle is expected to choose between Florida State, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma and USF.

The 12th annual Signing Day Special begins at 8 a.m. ET on ESPNU, and extends across several ESPN networks, with 16 reporters at colleges across the country, and live news, analysis and hourly class rankings updates from ESPN.com’s Recruiting Nation. The special jumps to ESPN2 from noon-5 p.m., and will wrap up on ESPNU (5 p.m. – 7 p.m.). Complete coverage details are available here.

The No. 1 overall recruit Trey Smith, who recently enrolled at the University of Tennessee, will also be interviewed live from Knoxville at 2 p.m. Smith made his announcement in early December during College Football Daily on ESPNU.

In addition to the live announcements throughout the day, four top prospects will appear in-studio, with No. 136 Tommy Devito (Syracuse), No. 143 Fred Hansard (Penn State) and A.J. Dillon (Boston College) live from ESPN’s Bristol campus, and No. 38 Wyatt Davis (Ohio State) live from Los Angeles.

It was always a dream of mine to work at ESPN, and here I am! I joined the College Sports PR team in March 2016. Hailing from the great Garden State, I graduated from Seton Hall University (Go Pirates!) with a degree in sport management, where I not only sang the National Anthem at games, but was also a member of the Seton Hall Sapphires Dance Team and a student reporter for Pirate Sports Network. Before joining ESPN, I served as a Public Relations Associate for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
