The 2017 MLB regular season begins on ESPN with seven games in two days across Sunday, April 2 and Monday, April 3. The seven-game slate is highlighted by an April 2 Opening Night telecast between the defending World Series Champion Chicago Cubs and their rivals, the St. Louis Cardinals, at Busch Stadium (8:30 p.m. ET).

The Sunday Night Baseball team of Dan Shulman, Jessica Mendoza, Aaron Boone and Buster Olney will call the action, and less than 24 hours later, call the defending American League Champion Cleveland Indians vs. Texas Rangers game on ESPN, Monday, April 3 at 7 p.m.

Play-by-play voice Adam Amin and analyst Chris Singleton will call both games on ESPN Radio.

New ESPN MLB analyst Mark Teixeira will make his on-site Baseball Tonight debut from St. Louis on Saturday, April 1 at 10 p.m. on ESPN with host Karl Ravech and reporter Tim Kurkjian. The trio will remain in St. Louis for Sunday’s tripleheader with shows at 12:30 p.m. (ESPN), 4 p.m. (ESPN) and Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Booking.com at 7 p.m. (ESPN2) leading into the Cubs-Cardinals matchup. Monday, host Adnan Virk will lead into the day’s games at noon from Bristol, Conn., with Jim Bowden and Todd Walker on ESPN. Bowden and Walker will join host Jay Crawford at 1 a.m. on ESPN2 to recap all the season-opening games.

The trio of play-by-play commentator Jon Sciambi and analysts Rick Sutcliffe and Doug Glanville will start both days with games on ESPN at 1 p.m. April 2, the new-look New York Yankees and Gary Sanchez will visit the Tampa Bay Rays and Kevin Kiermaier. The following day, the New York Mets and Noah Syndergaard host the Atlanta Braves and Matt Kemp. Both games will be blacked out in the New York team’s market.

The team of play-by-play commentator Dave Flemming and analysts Eduardo Perez and Dallas Braden will call the action both days at 4 p.m. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Paul Goldschmidt host the San Francisco Giants and Buster Posey on April 2 (ESPN2). The game will be blacked out in the San Francisco market. April 3, Flemming, Perez and Braden travel to Dodgers Stadium when the San Diego Padres and Wil Myers take on the Los Angeles Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw on ESPN. The matchup will be blacked out in the Los Angeles market.

The commentator team of Ravech, analyst Raul Ibanez and Kurkjian call the final game in Monday’s quadruple-header at 10 p.m. ET when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Mike Trout take on the Oakland Athletics and Rajai Davis on ESPN2.

Hannah Storm will host a SportsCenter Face to Face special with three MLB newsmakers on Friday, March 31, at 10 a.m. ET on ESPN2. Storm will have in-depth interviews with Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers, Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins and Washington Nationals manager Dusty Baker during the one-hour program. The show will originate from the new SunTrust Park in Atlanta as the Braves will host the New York Yankees later that day in a Spring Training contest that will be the first game to played at the new stadium.

In addition, Olney will be providing updates on SportsCenter segments throughout the day on Sunday April, 2. Bureau reporters including Pedro Gomez, Michelle Steele and others, will provide additional coverage of the teams and locations leading up to and following the matchups.

ESPN.com will have writers on site at all seven games, including Andrew Marchand, Jesse Rogers, Mark Saxon, Jerry Crasnick, Doug Padilla and Jean-Jacques Taylor. In addition to live updates, content will include a look at Cubs manager Joe Maddon, what to watch for in each Opening Day game, goals for 2017 season, an Opening Day roundtable and much more.

All games will also be available in Spanish on ESPN Deportes. The Cubs and Cardinals matchup on April 2, can also be heard in Spanish on ESPN Deportes Radio.

ESPN International will provide the seven games across linear and digital in Latin America, the Caribbean and Pacific Rim.
