World of X Games April 2017 Lineup

Following the conclusion of the Aspen and Norway events, the World of X Games content slowly transitions focus onto the summer sports and athletes with a mix of winter and summer content. The month of April features two athlete-focused projects, beginning with skier Tom Wallisch’s latest project and followed by an in-depth look into the life and career of BMX rider Kyle Baldock. World of X Games will also feature coverage from the start of the 2017 World Surf League season.

Best of Norway 2017
Airs: 4/1 at 2:30 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT on ABC
The Best of Norway show will provide fans a look back at all the action sports competitions and musical performances at X Games Norway 2017. The show will provide an hour of the top moments from the Ski and Snowboard competitions at the Hafjell Ski Resort.
WSL Surfing, Quicksilver Pro Gold Coast
Airs: 4/8 at 2:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 PT on ABC
The 2017 World Surf League Championship Tour Season got underway with the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro Gold Coast. An incredible finals day delivered two Australian event champions, Owen Wright and Stephanie Gilmore. Wright claimed his third CT victory in one of the most inspiring comebacks in surfing history, after accepting the injury wildcard for 2017. Wright sat out the entire 2016 season due to a career-threatening, traumatic brain injury he suffered in 2015. The six-time WSL Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) claimed her sixth Roxy Pro title and 25th elite tour victory.
Baltic Ski featuring Tom Wallisch
Airs: 4/15 at 1:30 p.m. ET & PT on ABC
Tom Wallisch and the Good Company crew explore the Baltic region, using only public transportation and using their creativity to turn the city into an urban ski playground. Along the way they also find time to sample some of the Baltic’s coolest and craziest cultural activities. Setting out to prove that you don’t need helicopters or expensive lift tickets to have a good time skiing, the Good Company crew once again shows that the best part of skiing is the unforgettable memories and fun you create along the way.
Jackson Strong Snow Bike Project
Airs: 4/15 at 2 p.m. ET & PT on ABC
A three-time X Games Freestyle Motocross gold medalist, Jackson Strong has made a name for himself as one of the most well-rounded Freestyle riders in Motocross. The Jackson Strong Snow Bike Project follows Strong’s journey through mastering a second sport – Snow Bike. Similar to both Motocross and Snowmobile, a Snow Bike replaces a dirt bike’s front wheels with snow skis and the back with snowmobile tred.
Kyle Baldock Project
Airs: 4/22 at 3 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT on ABC
The Kyle Baldock Project provides fans an in-depth look at the life of the five-time X Games gold medalist and BMX phenom. From his early years growing up in Australia to his quick rise to success within the sport of BMX, the project dives into the life and mind of one of BMX’s most successful and passionate riders.
Making of Doonies 3
Airs: 4/22 at 3:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT on ABC
The Making of Doonies 3 is a behind the scenes look at all the high octane action in the dunes of Glamis, Calif. The annual Doonies edits bring together the best moto, truck, rally, snowmobile and other action sports athletes in a week-long, go big or go home film shoot. The Making of Doonies 3 looks at the experience through the eyes of riders Jeremy McGrath, Twitch, Axell Hodges, Tyler Bereman and more.
WSL Surfing, Drug Aware Margaret River Pro
Airs: 4/29 at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT on ABC
This episode will feature highlights from the second stop of the 2017 WSL Championship Tour at the Margaret River Pro.
