ESPN Tennis: US Open Series Begins Monday on ESPN2, ESPN3 and Streaming Live on the ESPN App

  • Road to US Open: 70 Hours on ESPN2, Eight Championships – Four ATP, Four WTA

Tennis’ US Open Series – seven hard-court events (three ATP, three WTA, one combined) across North America in five weeks – begins Monday, July 24, with the ATP BB&T Atlanta Open. ESPN2 will provide 70 hours of coverage over the seven events, with extensive coverage on ESPN3 and streaming live on the ESPN App.

The ESPN Tennis Team will cover the US Open Series, including former players Darren Cahill, Mary Joe Fernandez, Jason Goodall, Brad Gilbert, Patrick McEnroe, Rennae Stubbs and Jimmy Arias, plus Hall of Famers Chrissie Evert and Pam Shriver and commentators Chris Fowler and Sam Gore.

ATP BB&T Atlanta Open, Atlanta

  • ESPN3 with 40 hours, ESPN2 with four including the championship Sunday, July 30, at 5 p.m. ET
    *All ESPN2 matches will also air on ESPN3 and stream live on the ESPN App
  • Preview: At this ATP 250 event, American John Isner will be looking for his fourth BB&T Atlanta Open singles title, joined by No. 1-ranked American Jack Sock, World Top-20 player and defending champion Nick Kyrgios and World No. 1 American doubles team Bob and Mike Bryan.

  • Preview: Two top-ranked women’s tennis players are making their US professional tennis returns at this WTA Premier event: five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova (who has been granted a main draw wild card) and two-time Grand Slam champion Victoria Azarenka (also granted a wild card). Recent Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza will also join the field along with Americans Madison Keys, CiCi Bellis and CoCo Vandeweghe.

  • WTA Preview: In Montreal, the women’s field features 30 of the Top 35-ranked players and nine of the Top-10, including defending champion Simona Halep, French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko, Wimbledon champion Muguruza, American superstar Venus Williams and former Rogers Cup champions Caroline Wozniacki (2010) and Petra Kvitova (2012).
