ESPN today announced it has added an additional MLB Postseason Impact Game telecast to its September schedule as part of the Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Race to Zero. The New York Yankees and Aaron Judge will host the Minnesota Twins and Joe Mauer, in a potential American League Wild Card Game preview, as part of a full-national telecast on Tuesday, September 19, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The game will be played one day before the previously announced Twins-Yankees matchup scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. on ESPN. The Sept. 20 telecast will be subject to blackout restrictions in the New York market.
Jon Sciambi will call both games from Yankee Stadium with analyst Rick Sutcliffe. The remaining MLB Postseason Impact Games on ESPN will be announced in the coming days.
ESPN also announced today the Boston Red Sox and Andrew Benintendi will visit the Baltimore Orioles and Mark Trumbo on the Sept. 20 edition of ESPN’s Wednesday Night Baseball presented by Hankook Tire at 7 p.m. Adnan Virk will have the call with David Ross and Buster Olney. The telecast will be subject to blackout restrictions in the Boston market.
