Full Slate of Longhorn Network Studio Programming Set for 2018 Season

  • Texas Football All Access Premieres August 15
  • Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final Leads Into and Follows Every Game; Longhorn Legends Jordan Shipley and Michael Griffin Added to the Roster

Longhorn Network, ESPN’s 24-hour network devoted to the University of Texas, has Texas football faithful covered all the live long day as the network returns its weekly, original football programming this week leading into season two under Texas Head Coach Tom Herman. The fall lineup is highlighted by the return of All Access, as well as Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final, airing before and after each Longhorns game. Joining the roster on Texas GameDay this season are Lifetime Longhorns Jordan Shipley and Michael Griffin.

“Longhorn Network’s fall programming gives our viewers the opportunity to be behind the scenes, on the sidelines and in the huddle with the Longhorns,” LHN senior managing producer Ande Wall said. “With the return of All Access and fan-favorites Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final, along with the addition of 2008: The Season, LHN has a full schedule set to showcase the best of Texas football in 2018.”

All Access Returns for 2018
In partnership with Texas Athletics, LHN is bringing back its in-season show titled All Access, which will air biweekly during football season, with LHN’s first two shows debuting during Texas’ fall camp in August. The half-hour documentary show gives unprecedented access to the Longhorns as they enter year two under Tom Herman, including player and coach micings, film sessions, off-the-field access and in-depth in-game coverage. 2008: The Season Documentary Slated for Aug. 22
With the 10-year anniversary of the 2008 Texas Football season approaching, Longhorn Network is airing an hour-long documentary titled 2008: The Season, which covers one of the most thrilling seasons in Longhorns football history. Sitting down with former players and coaches, we will give the audience an in-depth look at the Longhorns through never before seen interviews/behind the scenes footage. From unforgettable victories to crushing defeats and major BCS Controversy, 2008: The Season has it all on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. CT.

Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final Returns for its Eighth Season
Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final, Longhorn Network’s signature pre- and post-game shows, return Saturday, Sept. 1, when the Longhorns open their season on the road against Maryland. Texas GameDay begins two hours prior to kick-off and Texas GameDay Final wraps up LHN’s game day coverage with post-game analysis immediately following each game. The Texas GameDay roster includes Ricky Williams, Jordan Shipley, Michael Griffin and Dan Neil, along with host Lowell Galindo. Shipley and Griffin are new to the LHN family, having spent three and 10 years in the NFL, respectively, after their time on the Forty Acres.

Full Slate of Weekly Specialized Programming
Longhorn Network’s weekly slate of college football programming will begin each Monday, at noon, with a live Texas Football Press Conference with Coach Tom Herman. Beginning September 3 and continuing each Monday, Lowell Galindo will sit down with Coach Herman at the Longhorn Network studios to break down the most recent matchup on Rewind with Tom Herman at 7 p.m.

On Tuesday nights throughout the season at 8 p.m., Texas Football Overdrive will provide a one-hour enhanced replay of the most recent game. Each wrap-up will provide added perspective from coaches and players. Debuting Thursday, Aug. 30, Longhorn Weekly with Tom Herman radio show will air each Thursday night during the 2018 season.

Texas Football on LHN
Longhorn Network will televise two Texas football games this season, showcasing the Longhorns’ matchups with Tulsa on Sept. 8 and Iowa State on Nov. 17. Lowell Galindo and Ahmad Brooks will call game action, with Jen Lada providing sideline reporting against Tulsa.
