Veteran ESPN play-by-play voice Dave Flemming and analyst Eduardo Perez will provide commentary for the 2019 Japan Opening Series telecasts presented by Edward Jones exclusively on ESPN, Wednesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 21, at 5:30 a.m. ET each day. The 2019 MGM Japan Opening Series will feature Khris Davis and the Oakland Athletics vs. the Seattle Mariners and Ichiro Suzuki at the famed Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. Both telecasts will stream live via the ESPN App.
The 2019 MGM Japan Opening Series marks Suzuki, 45, returning to Japan where he is one of the all-time great players. In addition, newly signed free agent pitcher Yusei Kikuchi is expected to start for the Mariners on March 21.

The Japan Opening Series joins two regular season games in Mexico, a game during the MLB London Series, MLB in Omaha and the MLB Little League Classic in 2019 alone.
