ESPN will host online qualifiers on Saturday, June 29 for the EXP Invitational – Apex Legends at X Games Minneapolis for teams in North America, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand. Two winners from North America, two winners from Europe, and one winner from Australia/New Zealand will be selected to compete in Minneapolis.
Along with the five teams earning their spot via online qualification, ESPN will invite 15 of the best teams in the world to compete at the EXP Invitational – Apex Legends at X Games Minneapolis, held August 2 & 3 at U.S. Bank Stadium. The EXP Invitational – Apex Legends will be the only esports event showcased at X Games Minneapolis 2019 and includes a total prize purse of $150,000. Details regarding event format, schedules and more will be announced in the coming weeks.
The EXP Invitational – Apex Legends at X Games Minneapolis will be distributed live via multiple digital platforms including the ESPN app, and a tape-delayed show focused on key moments and storylines will air on August 10 at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
