ESPN Further Solidifies College Football Championship Weekend: ACC Football Championship Set for ABC’s Saturday Night Football on December 7; Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship on ABC at Noon ET Same Day

 

  • Eight-Game, Two-Day Slate Begins with Pac-12 Championship on December 6; American Athletic, MAC, Mountain West, Sun Belt and SWAC Championship Games also on December 7

ESPN has further solidified its college football conference championship schedule, as the 2019 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship from AT&T Stadium (Arlington, Texas) will be at noon ET and Saturday Night Football’s season finale will feature the 2019 ACC Championship Game from Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. Both games will air on ABC.

ABC’s four-game regular season championship weekend slate is now set, which begins with the 2019 Pac-12 Championship from Levi’s Stadium (Santa Clara, Calif.), at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, and includes the American Athletic Conference Championship from a campus location at 3:30 p.m. the following day – in between the previously mentioned Big 12 and ACC games.

ESPN Airs Conference Championship Doubleheader on Dec. 7; ESPN2 and ESPNU also Televise a Championship Game
ESPN and ESPN2 will combine to air three additional games on Saturday, Dec. 7, beginning at noon with the Marathon MAC Championship from Ford Field (Detroit), and 2019 Sun Belt Conference Championship. The network designation for both games will be made in the coming weeks. At 4 p.m., ESPN airs the Mountain West Championship and ESPNU the 2019 SWAC Championship. The Mountain West, Sun Belt and SWAC games will be from campus locations.

College Football Playoff Selection Day Concludes Championship Weekend
ESPN’s conference championship weekend game action leads directly into the sport’s Selection Day on Sunday, Dec. 8. ESPN will exclusively reveal the College Football Playoff Selection Committee final rankings which will determine the four College Football Playoff teams and the complete New Year’s Six participants. Complete details on Selection Day’s programming will be announced in the coming weeks.

ESPN is the Home to College Football’s Bowl Season
ESPN’s long-standing commitment to college football’s bowl season continues in 2019-20 with a 35-game slate on 14 dates across a two-and-a-half week stretch, which includes all 14 of ESPN Events owned and operated games. The bowl mania will include the College Football Playoff Semifinals and the entire New Year’s Six, which will build up to the season’s grand finale: The College Football Playoff National Championship from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
