First Place New York Yankees to Visit Boston Red Sox on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball September 8

ESPN Founder Bill Rasmussen Scheduled To Toss Ceremonial First Pitch at Fenway Park on ESPN’s 40th Anniversary Weekend

The American League East-leading New York Yankees and Aaron Judge will visit the Boston Red Sox and Mookie Betts on the September 8 edition of ESPN Sunday Night Baseball Presented by Taco Bell at 8 p.m. ET. It marks the fifth and final Sunday Night Baseball meeting of the season between the two icon rivals. Entering play on September 4, the Yankees have the best record in MLB, while the Red Sox sit 5.5 games out of the second AL Wild Card spot.

On ESPN, Matt Vasgersian will provide commentary with World Series Champion and analyst Alex Rodriguez, Olympic Gold Medalist and analyst Jessica Mendoza and reporter Buster Olney. On ESPN Radio, Jon “Boog” Sciambi will describe the action with analyst Chris Singleton for the Yankees vs. Red Sox games on Saturday and Sunday. Both the ESPN telecast and the ESPN Radio audio will be available to stream on the ESPN App. Sunday Night Baseball is also available on ESPN Deportes.

Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown Presented by Chevrolet will air at 7 p.m. prior to Sunday Night Baseball. Karl Ravech hosts the pre-game show with World Series Champion and analyst Ryan Howard and analyst Tim Kurkjian.

ESPN Founder Bill Rasmussen is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Fenway Park prior to Sunday Night Baseball. Rasmussen will appear in conjunction with ESPN’s 40th anniversary, which is Saturday, September 7.

Several of MLB’s top stars will be in action on ESPN+ over the next week, including Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Bryce Harper and Mike Trout. Here is the upcoming schedule:
