Tattoos are an artistic expression of one’s own personality, feelings and inspiration.
For Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, tattoos have a much deeper and personal meaning – like the lion cartoon on his shoulder, drawn by his mother. In the lion tattoo, the Cowboys signal caller carries along the memory of his mother Peggy who died in 2013 from cancer.
After a five-year hiatus from getting tattoos, Prescott felt anew the urge to commemorate his current place in life with a mosaic of tattoos on his throwing arm. Prescott’s new body artwork documents his roots and honors those who have been instrumental to his development and success.
In a revealing interview with Ed Werder, ESPN Dallas-based bureau reporter, Prescott shares the stories behind his tattoos and the inspiration they provide. (Producer: Dale Mauldin)
